Sony UP-X898MD
Sony UP-X898MD Medical Printer for Ultrasound (USG) Device
The Sony UP-X898MD is a well known for the compact A6 medical grade black and white digital printer that is compatible with most medical equipment. The printer can accept analogue video as well as digital USB signal inputs.
The printer is designed to be easily integrated into a wide range of compatible medical imaging environments such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms or cardiac catheterisation laboratory. The high quality thermal print engine is able to produce hard copy prints of still images captured by these systems for use in patient records and referrals. The Sony UP-X898MD also features a USB port to save the printed still images on a flash drive.
Compared to its predecessor Sony UP-897MD, this Sony UP-X898MD offers several operational and ergonomic enhancements while still manage to retain its small footprint and easy integration into medical carts. Usability is also further enhanced by an enlarged LCD display panel and joystick for intuitive menu navigation.
Features

Enhanced operability
The UP-X898MD features an enlarged LCD panel that displays printer settings, selected paper type and advisory messages. An intuitive joystick control allows speed menu navigation, while the new Auto-Lock mode prevents unintentional changes to print settings.
Hard copy reference of print settings
For convenience and future reference, selected print settings like brightness, contrast, gamma, and sharpness can optionally be printed in a blank space on the print paper.
Uses widely available print media
There are 3 high quality and widely available A6 thermal paper types to meet the needs of different applications. There are Sony UPP-110HD, Sony UPP-110S, or Sony UPP-110HG High Glossy Printing Paper that produces glossy, long-lasting near-photo quality prints.
Wireless Printing Capability
The optional Sony UPA-WU10 Wireless Print System provides a cable-free connection between the Sony UP-X898MD, the mobile C-arm and other hospital imaging modalities. This is ideal for busy clinical environments, where modalities are constantly being moved between different examination rooms and operating rooms (OR). This all-in-one wireless printing solution also resolves the problem of limited space on medical carts, allowing connection between a medical imaging modality and an 'off-cart' printer without a lengthy USB cable.
Compliance with Medical Safety Standards
Sony UP-X898MD is compliant and certified for IEC 60601-1 and product safety standards in the USA, Canada and Europe.
